Grist Environmental provides quarried Type 1 aggregate to the home owner, tradesman or commercial customer for any scale project.

Type 1 aggregate can be supplied in any quantity from builders bags (also known as ‘1 tonne bags’ or ‘dumpy bags’) through to large bulk deliveries of 29 tonnes direct from the quarry. The material can be delivered loose inside skips or roll-on roll-off containers as well as either bagged or loose inside grab lorries – all loads are weighed on our calibrated weighbridge ensuring all material is charged as weighed. Our modern fleet of vehicles provides reliable and efficient services for your needs across Wiltshire.

As a registered waste carrier we can also back load material away from site, not only benefiting your operation but also the environment through reduced vehicle movements and the associated exhaust emissions.

Customers can also collect Type 1 from our yard in Devizes in lorries or vans – again all loads are weighed on our calibrated weighbridge ensuring all material is charged as weighed.

 

Type 1 (40mm-Dust)

Made from hardstone basalt quarried material this product has excellent load bearing qualities and it is the most commonly used aggregate in the construction industry. It can be used to form solid sub-bases for car parks, pathways, roads and areas of hard standing. It is easily compacted and has better strength qualities than scalpings.
